  John Thornton

John Thornton creates all of his artwork on the computer using a digital pen/brush and a

digital painting palette.  Each digital painting is an original work of art. John is just beginning to

share his artwork with the world.  We hope you will find some pieces that you will enjoy.

John has always been fascinated with the work of the German Expressionists, Paul Klee, Franz

Marc and Wassily Kandinsky.  They did not paint what they saw with their eyes.  They painted in

dynamic colors what they felt in their heart.  Although he is hesitant to put his name on the same page

as theirs, he is inspired by their unique perspective and, in his art, John strives to "see" the world in

                                                        the way that they did.

John's fascination with color is obvious in his work.  Most of his pieces feature bright, vibrant

colors and he loves playing with the endless variety of moods and expression that they can express.

Because John's art is digital, any of the pieces can be enlarged or reduced to whatever size might

be suitable for his clients.  Some of his pieces lend themselves well to large sizes; some are more

effective in a smaller size.  Prices are determined by size.

John hopes you enjoy viewing his artwork as much as he did creating it. To see more of his work,
